I just downloaded the trial version of photoshop and every time I go to open it, it doens't work. The error message says "invalid checksum". What does this mean? What do I do?

    It would appear that the download is not complete.  If you look in the Adobe Download Assistant what does it say the status of the download is?  Also where did you choose to download your install files too?
