Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?

May 11, 2012 9:17 AM

Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?  I've had my computer on a road trip.  When I returned to the home office, I can't get Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro software to recognize my scanner, which is a 4-in-one printer.  Acrobat will print to the printer, but I can't get it to recognize the scanner to scan a document.  Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Moving this discussion to the Scanning & OCR sub-forum of the Acrobat forum.

What scanner and OS? Are you using a 64-bit version of Windows? Generally, 64-bit Windows 7 has more driver issues than 32-bit Windows for scanners.

Open the Acrobat application(Acrobat X) and later navigate to Create>PDF from scanner>Configure presets and later select the Scanner which is connected to your computer and check it will work.
If you are getting two options ie WIA and TWAIN please select TWAIN as Acrobat is compatible with TWAIN interface than WIA.
