Issue with drop cap, followed by text in another size

Hello everyone,

This is my first post—so if I've not posted it quite right, please forgive me.

I'm doing a project which requires

1. A 3-line drop cap, followed by

2. a few words of text in a larger size, followed by

3. the main body text, which is the normal size.

But when I do this, the drop cap shrinks as I increase the size of the next few words.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here's the problem:

That's very strange. One workaround seems to be to cut the drop cap and paset titinto a new frame, then remove the drop cap setting from the paragraph. Fit the frame with the drop cap to content, then cut it and paste as an inline anchored object at the start of the paragraph. Select it and drag down to the correct baseline and add some text wrap.

Would not have thought so, but Drop Caps are a fairly complex construct so I don't know the limitations. In any case, you can file it as a bug: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form
