cant name clip

try to ingest clip through CS6

after stoping i get unnammedclip01.avi

i go to rename and get pop up saying i can't rename clip

i go back to original name and it askes if i want to over write

no i want to give the dang thing a name and premier won't let me

anybody else having this issue?

    Rename it in Explorer or Finder if you want to rename it.

     

    Do so before importing it into your Project.

     

    or ...did you mean Capturing ( analogue to digital) instead of Ingesting.

    it was on capture from sony cam HDV

    captures just fine just won't let me name it

    if i can't change the name it won't except the clip

    very frustrating i've captured 100+ hours with CS5.5 and no problems

    so it's not like i'm a noob

    Name your clips before you begin capture.

    Its a bug. Adobe knows about it.

    Close Premiere then rename in the Explorer.

    Renaming clips means you have to relink if the are already imported.
