How do I set audio to stop, as user continues?

May 15, 2012 5:52 AM

I need to set audio, so that it stops as the User has finished their tasks on the slide, or, for example, pressed the continue button.

I need to do this, as many Users will not have the audio switched on, so it appears that the Project drags (when in fact the audio is just playing).

Anyone know how to do this, if it's possible? Using CS5.5.

Many thanks...

If you are talking about slide level audio, it should stop immediately when you leave the slide.  (Object-level audio is a bit more complex to work with.)

If you have your Continue button set up with the Continue action, then it will do just that...continue playing the slide and whatever audio is on it.  However, if you change the action on the button to Go to Next Slide or Jump to Slide XX then the audio should stop immediately as soon as you leave the slide you were on.

Can you confirm if this works?
