When will Adobe support 6 series Geforce Cards

May 14, 2012 12:21 PM

Hey there,

I have just bought a 6 series Geforce card, simply because it support 4 monitors and does it well. Does anyone out there know when adobe are going to support these cards, or if they are supported in CS6.

Thanks in advance to any feedback

Those who know don't tell, those who tell don't know.

Just wait and see, but for the time being it works quite good with the 'hack'.

The the simple addition of "GeForce GTX 680"  (or whatever card you have) to the "cuda_supported_cards.txt" file and Premiere MPE works the best of any card that money can buy!

nVidia Hack http://forums.adobe.com/thread/629557 - which is a simple entry in a "supported cards" file... as Bill Gehrke said

Do you know if "the Hack" works in After Effects for the new raytracer.

The text file looks identical to the one for the Mercury supported cards......

    Works the same.

Not only that, but you DO NOT want to try to run the raytracer without it.

Running it on CPU brought my system to a standstill....

what hack would this be... I will probably wait, but it would be great for a link...

    thanks again...

as Harm says, hack works at the same way in Ae but GTX 680 at this stage is not working well.

I tried it on CS6 production premium trial version and I am waiting for a full support of it to upgrade my system to CS6 suite
