When I try to load brushes they aren't showing

When I try to load brushes in CS5 they aren't showing. The Brushes folder is empty. Via the Finder, they are visible, but not via CS5. Has something gone wrong with my installation?

MacBookPro 10.6

    Hello, could you explain how you proceed? are you sure that you are looking at the same level of the directory tree (the system/library is not the same as the user/library)?

    Mac HD/Users/Library/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Brushes contain no brushes.

     

    Mac HD/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5.1/Presets/Brushes - that folder contains brushes
