Premiere Elements 10 pc will not install

When I click on the setup run as admin disc 2 Win7 64bit a window pops up sying windows installer ver 5.0..... then nothing is installed.

I was able to install the software by creating a new admin account. Why did I need to do this? Is there something that needs fixing in my main account? Can I delete the account I used to install the software?

It is likely the permissions on your regular user account have become compromised. You may still be able to continue using it but if you notice any additional difficulties you may want to consider migrating to a new adminsitrator account.
