I am trying to preprocess InDesign document prior to it being uploaded to a DAM system when the user hits a Save or Check-In. For instance, I want to access the DOM object for the current InDesign layout to extract a thumbnail (JPG) representation, extract text and metadata, and also generate a PDF preview and push them to the DAM system. Any guidance on how to accomplish this.
Sorry, we don't know how to process InDesign file to extract thumbnails or previews for them either, we don't have such expertise, for Adobe Drive, it's a set of client components. it depends on the remote DAM service to provide such image data, if you DAM service doesn't have such ability, I think you can ask some help in InDesigh forum
thanks
Follow up to this question.
I just need to know if Drive will allow client side operations (interacting with the DOM object for CS Documents), or leveraging the InDesign application on the client side via Apple Script etc. Seems like the code is deployed as a WAR on the DAM server, so I wasn't sure if any client side operation is possible.
Thanks
