Unable to open Photoshop Touch PSD in Adobe Collage ?

Hi,

 

I just create some text in Photoshop Touch and saved it to my Creative Cloud as a PSD.

 

When I add an image in Adobe Collage the PSD is not shown with the other files. It is there in the Photoshop Touch Cloud folders.

 

I can add an image saved as a PSDX, JPG and PNG.

 

Will Adobe Collage only open PSD files from Photoshop CS 5.5 ?

    Hi Sean,

     

    Adobe Collage allows importing of PSD files from both Photoshop CS5.5 and CS6.

     

    You mentioned that you created some text in Photoshop touch and saved to cloud as PSD, did you convert the Photoshop touch PSDX file to PSD using Photoshop CS6? And then uploaded the Photoshop CS6 PSD to the Cloud?

    This PSD should appear in the Cloud folder inside Collage, are you not seeing the PSD file or are you getting some error on import?

    If you are not seeing the PSD then please try a restart of Adobe Collage app once. Also are you seeing this issue generally with all PSD files or just this specific one? In which case can you please share the file with us at chandna <at> adobe <dot> com (It will be used only for debugging purpose).

    Sean,

     

    Yes, If you upload your PS Touch creations to Creative Cloud as a .PSD files these are not available for import in Collage. We have a bug logged for this and  we are investigating this issue. We would keep you informed via this thread.


     

    However for now, as a workaround, you can upload the same creation to Creative Cloud as any other format (.PSDX, .JPG or .PNG) and import it in Collage.

    Or

    You can download the .PSD file from Creative Cloud on your desktop and upload it again. It would start showing up for import in Collage.

    The option is available now through Creative Cloud, if you upload your Collage project to Creative Cloud there is an option to download in PSD format

     

    The steps would be:

     

    1. Upload your project to Creative Cloud from the tablet

    2. Open the Creative Cloud website (https://creative.adobe.com/) on the computer with Photoshop

    3. In the Files section double-click the project to view it full screen

    4. Use the download option to save the file on your computer and select PSD as the format to save the project in

    5. Open the PSD in Photoshop from wherever you saved it on your computer
