Any luck with the Free upgrade from 5.5 to 6

May 15, 2012 10:30 PM

I posted this on another forum, but I don't think many people read that one.

Has anybody been able to decipher the e-mail from Adobe and get their free upgrade?

I just received an e-mail from Adobe, with instructions on "claiming" my free CS 6 Production Premium upgrade, from the CS 5.5 Production Premium upgrade, purchased about 3.5 weeks ago. I would watch my Inbox, and not delete anything from Adobe.

    Good luck,

    Hunt

What, exactly, do you not understand?

It has been nothing but a nightmare!!  I received the e-mail for the upgrade with a link that went to the product update.  I followed the directions completely and it would NOT give me the "0" balance.

I called tech support and they couldn't get it to work  They created a new order for my account and now I could see CS6 upgrade in my cart for "0" dollars with a download link.  Great??? I don't think so.  Now I think I'm onto something until I click the download link.  What do you think happens??  I get directed to a download page that states "you have NO downloads".

Now I have to call support again.  PITA

Has anybody received their free upgrade to CS6 through E-mail yet?

I am STILL waiting for Adobe to send me a link I can ACTUALLY download with a serial number.

    This is really getting ridiculous!

I received the message on 5/15. Tried at the time and a couple days later and couldn't make it work either time. Tried again today and had absolutely no problems. You do need to log in to your Adobe account before clicking the upgrade link in the email. After you select CS6, you will not see a $0 until you click "Checkout."  It shows the regular price up until then AND you still have to enter CC billing info even though it charges it as $0.
