Saving a fillable form.

May 17, 2012 8:38 AM

How do I make my fillable form savable for Reader?  I created the form on Acrobat X Pro and did save as  Reader Extended PDF - Enable Adding Text to Document.  When I open the file in Reader it prompts me that I cannot save a completed form.

You just selected the wrong option. It should be: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features

George - Any idea how to make "Save a copy" rather than just "save as" as a forms button? I need the users to be able to save a blank version of the form they have filled in via a button rather than the menu and am worried if I just use "save as" as executable menu item, they may inadvertantly save the blank (reset) form over the same filename as they have filled in. So I need to assist them with a "save a copy" button (that I will also set to reset all fields).

    Thanks!
