Scanning into PDF/A format?

I would like to scan both handwritten and printed documents into PDF/A format, as these documents will need to be kept for a long time and will act as back-up to the printed version.

 

I have Adobe Pro.

 

Any help appreciated.

    Are you looking for ways to scan into PDF/A format? If so, there is the ability to configure a scanning preset in Acrobat X and set it to be PDF/A-1b compliant. Here is a screenshot with an example:
