CS6 dmg not working

Tags: #cs6 #extracting #invalid_checksum

Downloaded CS6 Production Premium. The dmg tries to mount even though the Download Assistant still shows activity (Extracting... this may take a while). I get the warning that ProductionPremium_CS6_LS7.dmg could not be opened. Reason: invalid checksum. This has happened 3 times in a row. Size of downloaded disk image: 5.91GB.

Macbook Pro, Lion, Lots o room on drive etc.

I posted a similiar error, but with error deploying the Install.app -1712.  I'm thinking the Production Premiere DMG file is corrupt.  Can you follow up if you get this resolved? Adobe?

If you are receiving the message Extracting then the download is not complete.  This is why you receive the invalid checksum message.  Where are you choosing to download your install files too?

JimGoertz I would still be curious as to where you were choosing to download the install files to?  Most users who are getting stuck at Extracting is due to selecting a directory/folder which the Adobe Download Assistant does not have sufficient write access too.

I am having this same issue. How would I reinitialize a download to save the files to the correct location?

If you are unable to cancel the download then completing solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assista nt.html#main_Solution_1 will reset the download process.

From Adobe tech support - They had me open Terminal and type in a command to skip the verify process for the .dmg. It worked. Here's that command:

defaults write com.apple.frameworks.diskimages   skip-verify -bool YES
