Content Aware problems!!

When I use the shortcut in CS 6 "shift + delete" the dialog box does not show up the selection actually disappears. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or where to find the content dialog box without the short cut.

    Edit>Fill.

     

    Try Shift+Backspace if your on windows. or Shift+F5

     

    Shift+Delete deletes (cuts) the pixels inside the selection on windows systems.

     

    Shift+Delete should bring up the fill dialog on Macs.
