Canon 7D - Import clips (Premiere Pro CS4)

Hello,

We recorded a few clips with the camera Canon 7D in FullHD (1920x1080, 16:9, 25 FPS). Now we would like to edit them using Premiere Pro CS4. Is "AVCHD 1080p25" the preset we need to use? We know there is a specific preset for Canon 7D, 5D, etc. in CS5, but not in CS4.

Using that one, it fits the size but the image looks like less colorful and palid. Why does this happen?

In any case, what should we do? Which settings are the proper ones? It is very important for us because it is for our senior project!

Thank you very much in advance!

Marta & Lorena.

CS4 was not well designed to handle DSLR media.  You'd do well to consider upgrading to the newest CS6.  With the new Creative Cloud subscription service, you might be able to get a full suite upgrade for only $30/month.

You can make a custom preset, see screendump

The problem is that CS4 has trouble handling H.264 in a mov wrapper.
