Is there an option "Place from Buzzword" in InDesign CS6? That option was avaialbe in CS5.5, but is not longer in the FIle menu in CS6. How are we supposed to import docs from Acrobat.com, specifically Buzzword Docs? I don't really want to take the time to export out as a PDF when it was easier to import from Buzzword and have the file link to my Acrobat.com account.
Truthfully, not many people have been using this feature. It has been dropped from InDesign CS6.
I just tested an old Buzzword document on Acrobat.com. While the only export option is to export to Adobe PDF, you can choose Select All in your document, then Edit > Copy. I pasted into a TextEdit file (or you could choose another text editor or word processor) and it had copied in what appears to be Rich Text Format including styling. You could then place that in InDesign CS6.
What I liked about that feature was that it was linked back to the doc in Acrobat. So if I had a group of people working on the same doc, it would tell me in Indesign when the file needed to be updated and all I had to do was update link and that was it. I didn't have to place the doc again.
Not good enough. W/o robust style support it devolves to an all-too-typical work-flow:
If Buzzword had made it possible to define a set of character and paragraph styles, then have the user _only_ able to use those and _no_ local formatting, it would've been an excellent solution.
