I want to convert my trial version of APE. I purchased the software from the adobe store and have been emailed a serial number which i am told to enter in software settings. Where is this? I see no place to enter the serial number when I load APE
Thanks for any help
No, I am getting puzzled as I initiated the trial of both Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements as a bundle on 23 April which is less than 30 days. When I loaded Photoshop I was asked for a serial number but when I load APE I get a screen headed Premiere Elements 4 which asks me for a new project or saved project. So why it is headed Elements 4 when it is meant to be 10 I don't know. No doubt I am being stupid. I tried to ring Adobe customer service but they are only open 9-5 Monday to friday. I could choose to download the software again but I am worried I will then lose the projects I have been working on with the trial version
when I load APE I get a screen headed Premiere Elements 4 which asks me for a new project or saved project.
This is very odd. Does Photoshop Elements show PSE 10, or 4?
What is shown for Help About, in PrE? Does that also say Premiere Elements 4?
As far as the Project file (the PREL), installation, uninstall, etc., should not affect that, but you can certainly make a Copy of that PREL file for safe keeping elsewhere.
Remember, the trial version will add a watermark to the Exported/Shared file. This FAQ Entry will tell you how to remove that watermark, when you get the full-paid version running with your S/N, and then go to Export/Share that Timeline afterwards.
Good luck,

PrE4 was current, abou 4 - 5 years ago.
I would uninstall the PrE 4 and then install the PrE10, that you bought, and downloaded.
One thing that I did check on was the Registration process in PrE4. In my Help menu, there is a Registration area, where I had entered my S/N, way back when. That your version does not have Registration is another puzzle.
Good luck,
