I hope to make sense with this issue, here we go.
I bought a RESPONSIVE template, as you know this template basically come already set up to be seeing on desktop, Ipad,Smartphone, etc, well here is my issue.
I am not a web developer, but I do have a decent understanding enought to build a website on my own, but this time I really don't know what to do, when I SPLIT the view of my template, the template that come up on the right side is the one for Smartphone I believe, when I hit design only the template shows in the whole screen, I do my changes and everything but when I upload it online everything goes bad.
Online I don't see The changes, but on my Ipad,Ipod,Android and Blackberry, YES, what am I doing wrong?
What I a trying to find out is how can I have on display the actualy format that I am working on it, for me is easier to work on design mode, but with this issue I can't because I will be working on a different format.
I hope all this made sense..

In addition, there is a Multi-Screen Preview that shows your page 3 ways.

Hello Nancy O.
I am using CS5, the problem I found with all this is that when I uploaded my page, I can see some the page I am working on in my Ipad for example, but that same page I can't see it on my laptop, I don't know if you have an Ipad but go to www.uniquedestinationwedding.com look at it from a pc and from an Ipad and go to Our Staff and you'll see what I am talking about.
By the way, that page is a work in progress I upload it incompleted because I want to see on every platform how is looking.
Looks OK to me in Firefox 12 with viewport resized. I can see Mobile, Tablet and Desktop layouts.
This image is too wide for smaller devices. You should use width in percentages rather than pixels.
Also, I notice you're using the ALIGN attribute which is obsolete in HTML5 doc types. Better to use CSS classes.
Well, I am an unemployed web design fan, no web designer just a fan.
The Easy way for me to do things is on design mode and I try to play with the codes here and there, based on what I see on the template, but this one is actually driving me crazy because is not just a "desktop" view and I noticed a lot of things change on one format but not the other and I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I'll get it done.
Nancy O, what I wrote on my original post is that when I use the split view I have on my left the codes and on my right the design view, well that design view is actually the Smartphone view and when I get out of the split mode and get into the design, I am sure that format in front of me is not the desktop look, so what I want to have in front of me is the actualy desktop view, work on it, post it and keep going.
In regard to your respond, you think the issue is becuase I am using Explorer? because I CAN'T see it, if you go to ABOUT- OUR STAFF OR OUR PARTNERS I get a blank page, but if I do this on my Blackberry, Ipod or Ipad, I can see what I have on those pages.
Thank you for all your help.
The "aboutusbanner.png" I created it, now based on your reply, where should I change the width to percentages from pixels? is that something to do in my original PSD file? or on the template?
I noticed the pictures that come with the template, I can see them correctly, but the one I added I can't and I am guessing is becuase of what you wrote.
For a non-coder, responsive web design is a very ambitious project. Even for experienced developers, the complex CSS can be quite challenging.
You might have better luck disabling CSS styles and just focus on the HTML to get your content in order.
View > Style Rendering > un-tick Display Styles.
Our Staff page is blank but I can't see anything that explains why. However, if I disable CSS in my browser, I can see text on the page.
To nail down the problem you would have to compare code in a working and non-working page. I realize you purchased this template thinking it would help you, but I think it's way too advanced for you to work with in Design View.
It might help you to build a test site with Media Queries first so you can see how all the parts come together.
Thanks Nancy O.
Here is what I did.
I contacted the people from Template Monster I already explained to to hem the whole deal and they are looking into the issue, however...
here is what I am goig to do, I am going to downlod a FRESH template and just replace the picture I have originally on the index and see how I can resize my "banner" and make work on every platform in regard to the "blank" pages I am just going t go back to the draw board and step by step figure out what I am deleting or moving or something that is not working right, becuase it suppose to work.
Thanks anyway for all your help, unfortunately for me this customer already paid me so I have to deliver no matter what...
Have a nice evening and THANK you for your help.
