I still use Pagemaker 7.0. However, I just got a new computer and I don't have the CD to install it. I originally downloaded 7.0 from the Adobe website, but they are telling me that it is no longer available for download. They suggested that I see if anyone on this forum still has an active download link that they can share with me.
Depending on what your new computer it might be advisable to upgrade to indesign. If you are talking a new mac, it will not run pagemaker. A new windows 7 pc would need emulation software to run pagemaker 7 in windows xp mode, and results vary as to how well if it runs, or if it runs at all
You may be better off upgrading to indesign, and you probably have until friday to do it, see the last few days thread. You would need your serail number in any case.

Correct. Beginning with CS6 there will be no upgrades from Pagemaker.
You can still buy CS5.5 and you’ll get CS6 for free: bit.ly/nR8mSm

If that's the case, then Adobe really should stop producing and selling PM.

Anyone doing so in the near future will be buying not only dead tech, but also a dead upgrade path.
I just spoke with Adobe customer service and they told me there is no longer any upgrade options for Freehand or Pagemaker users for any Adobe products. They have now left us all out in the cold. Even if we wanted to upgrade to Illustrator, InDesign, Creative Suite, there are no options for us any longer. We will have to pay full retail price!!! So, they have bought us out, discontinued support and updates for us, and now left us out completely!!!
There are plenty of things to complain about with Adobe, but they have been more than generous with their upgrades when it came to pagemaker. Having an upgrade option that lasted for over ten years, and through 8-9 versions of Indesign is unheard of.
One of the things to complain about they are still selling pagemaker, and have a link to upgrade to CS5, which actually links to CS6 and has no pagemaker option.
