Creating PDFs from Applications

I need to create PDFs from applications written in National Instrument's LabView or LabWindows.  The application needs to create the filename automatically without any user intervention.  Currently we do this with Adobe Distiller and creating a key in the registry under Window XP.

 

The company is moving to  Windows 7 and Adobe Acrobat X in the next month.  So we might lose Adobe Distiller in the switch.  Does Adobe Acrobat X provide an Active X control or a way to create pdfs on the fl?
