Do dual monitors decrease performance?

I was wondering if there is any proof that a dual monitor card like a gtx 560ti when run as a dual monitor setup drops fps from the card. Is this a true statement?

Or does it not alter performance at all?

    For gaming, yes, for editing no. I have not seen any performance difference.

    Thanx Harm.I was curious before setting up a dual. Would be nice to have the extra space to expand ppcs6 workspace.

    Just making sure I keep the balance on our new machine.

    This setup has not caused me any problems, but I look forward to using a GTX 680 or similar card to bypass my DV deck and use a HDMI connection to my TV.

     

    PS. In case you are wondering, yeah, I'm a lefty.

    Hi Harm, I'm curious to know if u connect a HDMI from gtx 680 to HDTV, will it include audio as well? HDMI 1.3a or HDMI 1.4a?

    My initial setup plan is to just output a video playback from PPRo cs6 to HDTV for my clients to view.

    What options do I have for this setup?

    I'm currently still using a 480 over the DV deck, attached via firewire to the deck and then over SCART to the TV, but am planning to move to a 680 with HDMI to the TV. However this is still in the planning phase so I have no hands-on experience yet. See Planning and building a new PC

    I did notice once I plued in my Intesity pro a bit of a sluggishness from cs6 timeline. Is there a known issue with BM Intesity pro cards and PPcs6?

    Strange to see this.

     

    Or should I just run out of the 560 ti to the external preview? If so how do you set it up to accept the full screen mode in PPcs6? I belive it is ctrl+ ~
