Image becomes out of focus and grainy in adobe premiere cs3

May 18, 2012 4:47 PM

Hi. I am new to adobe premiere cs3 and was trying to create a basic slideshow using still images. All of the images have been cropped to 720 by 480 and have a resolution of 72dpi. When I click on the picture in the video preview window to resize it etc, the image appears clear but when I click somewhere else it becomes blurry and pixelated. Also, straight lines turn into stairsteps. This seems like a rendering problem but I could be wrong. Anybody have any suggestions on steps that I could take to correct this? Thanks.

Have you Rendered your Timeline, by hitting Enter/Return for ultimate playback?

What is the Quality of your Program Monitor set to?

What is the Magnification of your Program Monitor set to?

Rt-click on the Program Monitor to check both of those.

    Good luck,

    Hunt

Put you slideshow in a progressive project.

Or use the Field Option/Always Deinterlace.
