Hi. I am new to adobe premiere cs3 and was trying to create a basic slideshow using still images. All of the images have been cropped to 720 by 480 and have a resolution of 72dpi. When I click on the picture in the video preview window to resize it etc, the image appears clear but when I click somewhere else it becomes blurry and pixelated. Also, straight lines turn into stairsteps. This seems like a rendering problem but I could be wrong. Anybody have any suggestions on steps that I could take to correct this? Thanks.
Have you Rendered your Timeline, by hitting Enter/Return for ultimate playback?
What is the Quality of your Program Monitor set to?
What is the Magnification of your Program Monitor set to?
Rt-click on the Program Monitor to check both of those.
In response to Bill Hunt, yes I did hit enter for ultimate playback. Also the quality of the program monitor was set to highest quality and the magnification is set to fit. In response to Ann Bens, I did set the field option to always deinterlace but that did not solve the problem. I am not sure what else to do. Thanks for the help so far.
