How is it possible to play a mp3 file and display in the background one or more images ?

So I want to find a solution for the black background if a mp3 file is playing.

The solution would involve creating a complex element : parallel element of an audioelement and a serial of imageelements with duration.

You might encounter sync problems between the parallel elements - if you do not need perfect synchronization, this is the way to go.

for this I have to build an own player application, Is this possible with the ready application which is provided by adobe ?

No, it's not possible directly with FMP or SMP.
You will have to write your own application or use a specialized plugin.
You could take a look at the sample applications provided in OSMF source code: http://sourceforge.net/adobe/osmf/home/Home/
