Hello,
Just wondering if Adobe Acrobat X Pro supported a dictionary/spell-check function on a .PDF file. And whether or not it was just for inserted textboxes or comments, or if it could be the entire .PDF file. If yes, is there potentially a French dictionary download?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
In Acrobat X Pro, spell check is can be used for the following options.
Can check the spelling of user-entered text. This option is applicable only if Allow User To Enter Custom Text is selected.

You cannot spell-check the text in the underlying PDF.
Download dictionary pack is for Reader not for Acrobat. Here the link to download it for Reader X

I just figured it out for my documents. Go to
Edit > Preferences > Spelling and check the languages you wish to use and move to the top.
Make sure the language you wish to use to spell check a document is on top. For example, I work in English, Spanish and French. When I begin a document in Spanish, I go to Preferences and move Spanish to the top. Seems Adobe is not intuitive!!![]()
