Path Scaling Juddering, possible bug?

Hello everyone,

using the most recent version of Photoshop Extended CS6 I encountered some unwanted behavior of the software.

Having drawn any path in a new or opened file and free-transforming it, it seems that the corners of it's bounding box snap to pixels or half pixels. That causes (at least in my feeling) irregular scaling.

This was not the case in CS5. Path scaling worked very smoothly without this juddering.

To illustrate that I created a screen recording of both CS5 and CS6 conducting the same operation:

Watch how smoothly it scales in CS5 (first part of the video). Look at the pixel values in the transformation toolbar.

I think there might be a mathematical rounding problem.

Do you think you can restore the old behavior, or do I have to change something in my preferences? Snapping was also switched off.

Please help :-)

Thank you

Sebastian,

ACE Photoshop
