I have a computer image that sees Reader 10.1.2 or 10.1.3 crash a few seconds after I open it, but works fine with Reader 10.1.1.

I disabled protected mode with 10.1.3 and didn't find this to resolve the issue.

I tried a baseline installation of windows 7 and 10.1.3 works, so it seems to have something to do with our customizations to the computer image, but I can't imagine what that would be.

This is the problem signature:

Does anybody know what could be going on here?

Are you doing any specific action which causes this issue at your end. If not, then it could be an issue with a 3rd party plug-in being used. You can try the below to be sure of the same:

    1. Navigate to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\plug_ins (please change the path if you have installed it to a different directory)

    2. Delete all files and folders within the same.

    3. Now navigate to Control Panel > Programs and Features and repair the Reader installation.

    4. Restart if prompted to.

    Does this help.
