Can't Print PDF

I have Windows XP and an HP Photosmart 5510 with the latest version of Adobe Reader.  Can't print PDFs.  Please help!

    Please let me know:

    1. The version of Adobe Reader installed on your system. (Help > About Adobe Reader)

    2. What is the behavior seen when you print a PDF? Do you see some error or something else.

    I have the newest version -- downloaded last week.  There is no error when I try to print --actually there is nothing!  It doesn't even show up in the print cue.  It's like the computer isn't talking to the printer.  There are no issues with printing except when trying to print PDFs.

    Could you please let me know the version anyhow.

     

    1. Also, could you please let me know if the Print dialog pops up or not? Does Adobe Reader exit after clicking the Print button on the dialog?

    2. Please try printing to some other printer other than the default one.

    3. Try Printing after checking the Print to File option (present in the Advanced Print Setup dialog obtained by clicking Advanced on the Print Dialog). Does enabling this option prompt you to save the file?

    The print dialog box comes up -- Adobe Reader does not exit after clicking the print button on the dialog box.

     

    It works on neither of my printers

     

    It does not print after checking the Print to File option.  I can't print the file even after it is saved.

    It looks like some kind of set up issue at your end. I would re-commend re-installing Adobe Reader on your machine or try repair by gouing to Help->Repair Adobe Reader installation.

     

    A better way in such case would be to completely uninstall Reader from your machine and delete all the reader files by your installation directory and registry and then re-install Reader again.
