How can I identify a psd layer inside a composition?

Hi all! I hope you can help me with this:

 

I'm writing a script that generates a list with all the layers in each composition, adding an icon depending on the layer type (text, shape, composition, psd).

 

The thing is, at least in my scripting guide for CS3 (although I'm using CS4), I find no Layer or AVLayer property that says what kind of AVLayer I'm managing. Is there any trick to achieve what I need?
