Lightroom 4 trial problem Mac

Tried a few times to install the trial of Lightroom 4 on my Mac.

Unfortunately, it won't install and I get this message all the time (in dutch):

 

Bewerking kan niet worden voltooid. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller fout -1.)

 

What is going wrong?

    Lightroom 4 requires 10.6.8 or higher for the operating system.  It would appear that you are below this minimum system requirement?

    Thanks! Ok, that's right. So how can I get the lightroom 3?

    I am sorry Arlakrikke we no longer have Lightroom 3 available.  If you have an Intel based processor I would recommend upgrading to 10.6.8 or 10.7.

    I have a Mac 10.6.8 and I've tried to install the trial version of Lightroom 4 for several times but for some reason after installation I have the icon showing "this mac is not set up for the application." Therefore, I cannot use the app at all during my trial period and I'm also afraid the trial time will soon be expired.  Can you please tell me why or what's wrong? Thank you very much.
