CS5 ACE and Colorsync settings

If I am using Photoshop manages colors, should it matter what the specific settings are in Colorsync? In particular, it seems that the default profile for my Epson 2400 printer is SRGB. Should I care? I am struggling to get consistent color after an upgrade from OSX 10.5 to 10.7.

The profile for your printer is certainly not sRGB (even if Epson mistakenly thinks it is!).

    Color Sync's settings don't matter.

If you tell Photoshop to manage color, then you need to select the profile that matches your printer and paper type.

Yes, the color could change, due to changes in the drivers, Epson profiles, and even some ColorSync bug fixes (Epson calls ColorSync internally for some things).
