When I try to open a file in photoshop from CS6 Bridge I get an error message: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe' Make sure you have typed the name correctly and then try again."
I just moved from CS5 to CS6 and do not have CS4 on my machine.
Go to edit/preferences/file type associations and click the raido button on bottom "reset to default locations". Hopefully this will work.
If not press Crtl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options.
Did you uninstall CS4 after installing CS6? That can sometimes foul up file associations.
I did not have CS4 installed. I did have CS5 installed and uninstalled it after I installed CS6. I had downloaded the CS6 Beta version and it worked well. Neither of the first two fixes worked. Should I uninstall everything and do a complete reinstall?
Did you uninstall CS6 beta before you installed CS6 final? If not uninstall now. You machine may be fairly well messed up by now.
If your only Adobe product is CS6 here is what I would do.
Save any files you might want from PS and Bridge then deactivate and uninstall PS.
Download and run the Adobe Script Cleaner, follow instructions.
Install CS6 and reactivate. If it asks for qualifiying s/n, use the CS5 #, no need to have it installed.
