CS 6 Broken

I have Mac laptop running i5 processor with Lion 10.7.4, was running CS5 perfectly (now broken) after installation of CS 5.5, and completely useless after install of CS 6.  Problem: app manager will not launch - system says it is not there despite a manual installation.  CS 6 apps report broken installation prior to launch, then launch, but complain that app mgr is not present.  Have tried new users-- all reporting same or similar issues.  All 3 CS products are broken with same or similar problem of App Mgr.  I am not sure how to fix, considered reformatting drive and starting over.  I have tried repeatedly to create new users, fix permissions, low level permissions fix using the recovery hd "reset password"-- all to no avail.  Have a desktop system with exact same software and everything installed just fine.--can anybody make a recommendation on how to proceed?? Very frustrated with adobe tech support as they have not had any answers.
