Adobe PS CS6 stopped working, how to reinstall

May 16, 2012 12:51 PM

I suspect the installation of Canon Pixma Printer software may have trashed Adobe components, is there an easy way to repair/reinstall just that part? I have the CS6 Master Collection and don't want to reinstall the whole shebang.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, printer drivers can sometimes be a problem.

Probably more of a conflict than file corruption.  Uninstall the print driver and see what happens.

Should have added, it that does not change anything reset preferences in Photoshop.

Start PS and IMMEDIATELY hold down the crtl + alt + shift keys.  Should get a reset window.

The error lies with Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725

Might do web search for this error and see if anything is relevant.

Make sure you have a local printer as default and not a network printer.

I see this says the Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll.  Not a computer whiz but looks like this is 32 bit.  Have you tried 64 bit progarm to see it if works?

NTdll.dll is part of the OS.

Most often errors ending there were caused by drivers or third party plugins.

I am having the same issues. I uninstalled my Instuos5 but Photoshop will still not work for me. How exactly did you fix your issue?
