Hello, i have bought a "authentic and full" CS5 on ebay, and successfully registered it on Adobe website.
However... When calling Adobe support for double checking the registeration (we never know...),
it happens that very same CS5 serial number has already been registered by someone else before, and is an educational version.
The problem is: How can i see on my account product page, that i have registered a CS5, while it is already registered by someone else?
Also, How Adobe Support and Chat bot don't see on my account the erroneous CS5 serial in question, while me can see it on my computer?
I need that erroneous serial to be removed from my account (the one registered the 24th May 2012) so i can return that bogus CS5 to the seller.
Thank you.
They seeit, they are just not doing anything as long this is pending incvestigation. I'm sure it's flagged on one of their internal lists for blacklisting. anyway, simply talk to them again and escalate to the next operator level until you get someone who can push the right buttons.
Mylenium
Thank you for your quick answer Mylenium.
I tried escalating the troubleshooting higher (developpers): i have been kept refocused that i should transfert the licence with the former owner.
(a receipt advising me of transferring the licence has been set on my account)
But it is not a transfert i wanted, it is a clean registeration, of a complete product! (that isn't the case)
Also, i asked the support if they could give me a receipt on my account that the serial number is erroneous and should be removed, but that wasn't possible
(i've been told every support operation only works tied serial number/owner email)
If only the phone support could tell me they see the erroneous serial and tell me they will remove it...
Thank you again in advance of your support!
I understand Bob, being refunded by ebay/paypal isn't really the problem, the one is that that serial
is successfully registered on my account while it's shouldn't (should be rejected by Adobe while entering it)
This could be troubles for later, (if someone for example manage to successfully register my owned CS3 serial)
especially if Adobe support point that they don't see that serial i can see.
Looks like a bug. Hope this get fixed...
Exactly! Dispute is opened.
I need to get that erroneous serial to be removed. Or the seller could always manage to turn me down by saying that that soft is registered under my name (which it is bug sided, but, in reality, isn't)
(also he pretended selling me a complete full retial while it is not).
It's like when a Creative suite is registered on one computer of someone, then registered on the second of another, (through Adobe website serial form) the name associated with the serial isn't checked.
So it ends with two owners for the same serial. Somes may exploit this.
