been looking up on the internet & asking people but no one can give me a straight answer.
when i was using encore i had my files saved on a external hard drive, when i started burning the disc it was using memory on my computer. i've tried to look for the files but can't find them. i have about 100 mb left and need someone to give me a straight answer Plz
When I create a new Encore project, I tell Encore to use my project drive (G: not that the letter matters) and my project files is saved to the root of G: (I could, of course, use a folder such as G:\Encore) AND I have all project work files saved to the same drive
>my files saved on a external hard drive
Would that be video files, or video AND project files?
Where are you telling Encore to go for project and work files?
>228Gb of memory
Just so you don't confuse people in the future (you confused me with your subject heading) memory is RAM and what you are talking about is hard drive storage space
I have no idea which (if any) hard drive folder may be used by Encore

These messages are about Premiere Pro, but they MAY give you some ideas of where to look
Drive C space http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1007934?tstart=0
Also check your My Documents folder, for Adobe sub-folders
While in Encore, check your preferences (see above PPro links)
There are few storage places which Encore takes on while doing a project:
1. The drive where your project folder is present. It should be present at the location which you selected while creating a new project in the New Project window. The transcoded files will be stored here.
2. Second storage that En needs is for the media cache files e.g. the confirmed audio files, indexed files for mpeg video and so on. This storage location can be seen in the Preferences->Media and there you look for the location for Media cache files and Media cache database.
3. Third one is the place where you choose to burn your DVD/Blu-ray folder or image to.
These are the major storage places which will be consumed by En. Try and look for these places on your hard drive and see what is consuming your storage space.
thanks 4 the advice but i major problem with the stuff ur telling me is that i've unistalled encore Cs5 [because i thought the files taking up the memory might go with it]. i've installed cs6 but it doesn't have a trial version u need 2 buy it. i've asked this b4 but just in case any1 knows isthere a way of getting cs5.
Again, I am confused
You say you uninstalled Encore CS5... which means you had it installed and activated with a license number... is that true?
Since you had Encore CS5 installed, you simply RE-install using the license number you had to use to activate it in the first place
