Cs3 Unexpected AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files stopping burn

Apr 19, 2010 5:16 AM

Hi,

Working on Encore Cs3 I've got a very complicated menu that has no errors found within it yet when it comes to the build and burn halfway through it fails and a dialogue box come up saying 'Unexpected files were found in the AUDIO_TS or VIDEO_TS directory'.  I have searched every part of the project and can't find what is causing the error.  Has anyone else had this happen?  Recommendations?

Jo

CS3; never got this error.  What types of assets etc are you using?  What do you mean by complex?

But you have probably exceeded the 99 timelines/menus issue.

Usually, the first ceiling that one hits with Menus is the ~1GB limit. This is for ALL Menus and Menu Assets - Motion, Audio, etc.

BTW - those 99's are not limits of Encore, but of the DVD-spec., just like the 32/16 Button limits on Menus.

    Good luck,

How much space is occupied by all those Menus?

If over 1GB, then you will not be able to author the Project to DVD, as there is a 1GB limit for ALL Menus, and all Menu Assets, like Motion files used in them.

    Good luck,

Do check out those Menus. It is common with a Menu-heavy Project, to hit that 1GB "ceiling." I have bumped against it, when using dupe Menus for a "rollover effect."

    Good luck,

    Hi Stan.

As far as Encore goes, you are correct here but the DVD spec does not limit you to 99 timelines.

What is does is limits the number of VTS you can have to 99, with up to 99 clips per VTS.

(I am not certain if you are actually limited to 99 clips across a maximum of 99 VTS though - will have to check that one out)

It's Encore's habit of automatically turning every timeline into a separate VTS that creates this issue.

Workaround? Dare I say it, but perhaps multiple clips in a timeline might help. They would need to have the same aspect ratio and audio streams to keep in spec though.
