Apple rejected app:
folio producer error says: method= HEAD
Anyone seen this? How it tofix?? Beth
This was an error I saw in at the bottom of the Producer Producer when it was exporting the zip file. It seemed to have something to do with the cover page. I rebuilt that, updated the folio and when I exported just now, (no errors showed up) and tried to upload to Apple, I got the attached error message from them! My first page is named 1-cover. Is this a clue? I'm very frustrated. Thanks, Beth
Maybe I uploaded the wrond file in the above attempt, so I went back to Viewer Builder and rebuilt that, and now it's finding a problem with my Dist .p12 file!! Says: "Not finding expected label iPhone Distribution in Dist .p12." I started over with new certificates, too, and it still gives me this error in Viewer Builder. All of my certificates had expired in March and I had to start over with them. Maybe this is the problem. I saw this in another forum but it was from 2011 and suggested a do-over like I just did with no success. Here is what my keychain looks like. Any clues there?
Hi Bob -- I finally got my certs to work by deleting absolutely every file involved and starting over with new files names, as well as updating the folio and re-exporting it. It was a scorched earth move.
I'll never know what was really wrong, but I'm totally relieved the app is with iTunes! I do think that the whole certificate thing is unnecessarily complicated, and wish Adobe and Apple could agree on a simpler format. I had trouble with this as a beta tester! How wonderful that I can reuse my certs for another year without going through this again!
Thanks for trying to help,
I guess I'm surprised at how many people have trouble with this besides me, when I rooted around in the forums. Maybe a little clearer directions would help? It seems straightforward enough, but files obviously can fail in a lot of unpredictable ways. I still don't know why my upload finally worked after several identical redos, but I'm darn glad it did!
