ACR 7.0 plug-in included in LR 4 and Photoshop CS6?

I own LR 4 and Photoshop CS6, but am still stuck with ACR 6.7. How do I get ACR 7.0?

    ACR 6.7 is for CS5.  If you installed PS-CS6 then you have ACR 7.0.  Help / About Lightroom shows a Camera Raw version number to indicate what version of the PS-ACR plug-in it is compatible with, but LR does not actually use or contain the plug-in which is only for Photoshop and its kin.

     

    LR 4.1 RC and ACR 7.1 RC are at http://labs.adobe.com/ if you are looking for newer camera support, or just another shot at installing an ACR plug-in for your PS-CS6.

    Thank you! I again downloaded the update to ACR 6.7 and it worked this time, opened ACR 7 when I opened an image in Bridge. I had downloaded and installed it once before on 5/20 but everytime I opened an image in Bridge CS6 it still indicated  ACR 6.7, very frustrating and confusing. I am not sure what made the difference this time.

    I finally figured out what I had to do when going through LR 4 to edit images in ACR 7. I had to go into the LR4 Preferences panel and manually change "Bridge.exe" to refer to Bridge CS6. I had assumed this would happen automatically once Bridge CS 6 and Photoshop CS6 were installed. It does not!

    No, of course not.  Photoshop and Bridge don't give a darn about Lightroom, and neither does their installer.

    When clicking on edit in LR4 the options for me are Photoshop CS6 and Bridge. So Photoshop changed automatically from CS5 to CS6 but Bridge did not even though I had Bridge CS6 installed.

    Again, read post #5.   Photoshop and Bridge don't give a darn about Lightroom, and neither does their installer.

     

    What Lightroom may or may not have done is a question for the Lightroom forum.

    I need to be educated. Why would a Lightroom/Photoshop workflow have Bridge listed as an external editor?

    For all who shoot in Camera Raw not Photoshop but Adobe's Bridge is the Camera Raw editor. So it makes sense to have it listed as an external editor in addition to Photoshop.

    Are you kidding? Lightroom, Photoshop and Bridge are all in the same family and part of the same workflow.  I download my photos into LR and then decide where to do the post-processing, go to Photoshop  right away, or first to Bridge and then open the image in Photoshop.
