Creative cloud License problem / Camera raw problem / Linked ?

Tags: #creative_cloud #activation_error ##cc_app_credential

I have bought a CC 1 year licence.

Quite every time I start Photoshop CS 6 it says that the CC trial period has expired (I installed CS6 premium from trial a few days before CC was activated)

It ask to connect oline to activate -  then it activate properly but again next time I open ask for activation. But if I am not online it's not working !!!!

Each time i try to use camera Raw from bridge (command + R ) it says that a proper software needs to be activated before so I can't do batch processing but if I try to open one raw image in photoshop from bridge it opens camera Raw then opens properly in Photoshop CS6.

Is there a link between the two problem ?? why ask for activation every time ? how to use Camera Raw ? How to work ofline????

Licensing system looks very buggy !!!

We have paid and are unable to use it because of the licensing system it really not normal!!

    Hi XR21,

I'm not sure if the two issues you describe are related or not.

Are you on a Mac or Windows computer?

Is it possible to post a screen shots of what it looks like when its asking you to activate and the batch processing needing to be activated?

Are you having to "License This Product" and sign in with your Adobe ID over and over?

The E-mail from Adobe you can disregard it.

Regarding your Trial error , could please inform that do you have CS5 or CS5.5 installed on your machine along with CS6?

I have the same kind of problem - and I have both CS5 and CS 5.5 installed in addition to "Creative Cloud". I am unable to change the "read only" attribute in the two folders Adobe PCD and SLStore to include "write".  Microsft do not allow me to do so, even if I am a administrator on a local machine.

After advice from Adobe support, I have deleted the whole content of these two folders. Then activited "Creative Cloud" again after starting Photoshop. This worked for a while, then Acrobat-X suddenly turned up in trial mode. I then removed Acrobat. Installed it again. Did the same with the folders mentioned earlier. Activitated "Creative Cloud" again. Even Acrobat is now back running - and I am crossing my fingers.. (Win7 64bit)

Have you tried deleting the content in the folders  Adobe PCD and SLStore. See the full paths in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error- cs5.html? It may be worth a try since you seem to have nothing to loose. You can even try to change the user rights?

    @ XR21

First , Yes ...the serial number are affiliated with the Adobe ID (e-mail) , hence if you sign up with your Adobe ID then ideally it should not ask for the serial number.

Secondly , I asked do you have the CS5 or CS5.5 because of this :- http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html

I just wondered why Adobe has not commented the "delete content"-solution mentioned in my earlier posts? When launching one of the Creative Cloud-applications like Photoshop after deleting the contents in this folders, you have to licence CC again - like in a new install?

Will doing so just be a temporarely solution? Or Adobe will not encourage customers to pay attention to the places where licensing information are kept?

For - if this works permanently, it will be a much more timeconsuming solution until a patch is released?

    @ XR21 ,

I know it may be unacceptable , not to use the CS5 after re-installig the CS6 , however we are currently working on the fix and atlast there is no harm in trying.

We are not saying to remove the CS5 , just you don't have to launch it.

    @ Janhris

Sorry , for not replying to your post , I checked the post of XR21 on my e-mail and replied.

Deleting the PCD and SLstore folder that would be not a bad step to try but I will not recommend because these files contain licensing information of all the Adobe product installed on machine , hence you will not have to license CC but other Adobe software as well like CS5 in XR21 , also not sure but you may land up in  a situation where you have to uninstall and re-install everything.

Indeed , these are nice step to try but only if you have latest Adobe software not when any older version is there working fine and helping you to sustain your business.

I have everything I need in CC (and more than that) - so I take a chance of the "deleting"-solution.

Funny thing; Just got a newsletter in my mail-box - from Adobe - telling me that:

"Your trial time is soon over" - urging me to buy The CS6 Master Collection.

I am pretty sure of that you are not the sender of this
