Illustrator 9.0 - how do I remove arrowhead from a line?

Please / Thanks:  How can I remove an existing arrowhead from a line?     If I delete the line/arrowhead, remove any arrowhead designation in "Add Arrowheads" dialog and draw a different line, the arrowhead still appears.  Also, is Is there a way to change the line weight, thinner, without changing the size of the existing arrowheads OR change the size of the arrowhead without affecting the line?    Appreciate.

    Hikermann,

     

    In the Appearance palette, you may toggle between New Art Maintains/Has Basic Appearance.

     

    The size of the Arrowhead follows the Stroke Weight. You should be able to Object>Expand Appearance, thus making the arrowhead an independent object (in the same Group unless ungrouped) and then change the now independent line.
