I have the beta installed but I also installed the trial of CS6 on another computer.. Both do the exact same thing with the Adaptive Wide Angle filters.
I set a line as straight, mark as vertical (2 lines really) and then process. The lines that are vertical come out wavy... best way to describe it..
I add the 2 control lines to the very outside most windows where the windows meet the brick... This is a closeup of the output... I don't know when straight lines became waveforms.. but they do with this filter!
Thoughts?
Problem, SOMEWHAT solved.
The originating TIFF file which comes from PhotoMatix HDR program removes the lens data from the image, so while the camera type comes up in Adaptive Wide Angle, the lens type does NOT. So on a single image from the HDR it works just fine. From an HDR with no lens data you get wavy lines.
The tool does have its limitations. It should only be used on images that have not already had their lens-distortion corrected and only on images that are still the full-extent of the sensor pixels. If you’ve already cropped the image or its distortion has already been fixed, then the lens-model isn’t going to match and things won’t work, right?
