Hi
Seems that the system is programmed to make things difficult. Trial DOWNLOAD button for Acrobat Pro (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=en) has no hyperlink. I have signed in, etc. etc. There simply is no hyperlink. Have tried of different internet access systems - same problem. Please advise what I can do. Have wasted about 90 minutes so far.
Thx

Hi Jeff
Thanks for the email. I design websites and am a service provider that (tries to) look at excellence in terms of service delivery. One of the most frustrating things that I experience is when other service providers refuse to accept that the problems being discussed are of their own making and that I need to look on my side of the fence for the solution to the problem. Read the comments on the thread of how many people are getting pi**ed off with being given the run-around.
I have downloaded (tried to) via 3 different PCs, 2 different OS and 2 different internet access systems – read similar remarks on the thread.
The problem I have mentioned is that THERE IS NO HYPERLINK ON THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON. As you probably well know, that has nothing to do with firewalls, settings, etc.
This is simply something that Adobe needs to rectify, and fast.
The email you need to sent out should be along the lines of …. “Thank you for bringing our error to our attention – we will rectify this as soon as practically possibly”.
Emails about settings and firewalls are just standard “fobbing off” of the client.
Thanks again for the email. Your new “branch” on this discussion won’t change the problem (in my view). Fix the problem and the entire issue will disappear.

Hi Mike,
There should have been a yellow "Download now" button near the bottom of the page. Clicking the button normally starts the download process. Something on your computer is probably not letting letting the hyperlink get created.
Could you check that the following are enabled in your browser:
Now there might be several reasons, coudl you check if the following are enabled
Also if you'll give some details about your computer/browser, it might help figuring out which component is misbehaving.
Hi
As per my earlier emails, stop looking on your clients’ systems for the solution to the problem – look at your own systems.
I can start the download for the trial Creative Suite® 6 Master Collection with no problem. Hence my cookies, my settings, Java, Flash, etc. etc. must be OK. There is nothing wrong with my system. Doing the exact same thing on trial Acrobat Pro does nothing – read the threads of the many, many people who have the same problem.
Right click the DOWNLOAD button on the download page … https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro <https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=e n> &loc=en - there is no hyperlink.

Hi Mike,
I really am sorry that you're facing an issue downloading the software. And I can understand your frustration. But I still need your help in figuring out what could be going wrong.
I just completed initiating downloads on several computers and everything seems to work fine here. The download mechanism for CS6 and Acrobat is a little different, so I think that we still need to verify a few things.
To help me troubleshoot this issue, could you do the following and let me know what happens:
Or try a direct download from one of our community sites. As this is a fairly large download, I'll suggest using the Akamai Downlaod Manager though.
http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-x-10-pro-reader-suite-direct-d ownload-links-ddl.html
Let me know how it goes. And I am sorry again for all the trouble you have to go through to download the software.
Hi Vaharmoy
Because I am the indivual I am, I gave up communicating with Adobe as they refuse to acknowledge that the problem is on their side of the fence. Instead I found a link where you can download the file directly without their "clever" but unworkable "download assistant".
Go to http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html and follow the instructions for CS6 download but then select Acrobat 10 to download.
Alternatively, download the file (±470MB) from www.irwell.co.za/adobe, my FTP site. The file is busy uploading so give it 30 minutes (now 8 June, 06h00 GMT).
Let me know if you come right and which option you used.
Pity that Adobe can't provide a simple service !!!!
Cheers
Mike
Hi
Thanks for your quick reply!!! I went to the prodesigntools website, and downloaded the acrobat program:
AcrobatPro_10_Web_WWEFD
But, i tried to open it but it won't open anywhere. It just says that the type of file is 'file' and it is an adobe extractor. So I need to choose a program to open it with... Did I do this wrong?
Thanks
Victoria
Hi
The download process from the prodesign site was a bit complicated for me – log on to adobe, try another package download, cancel that one and then try the same on the Acrobat Pro 10. My upload is at 215MB now – roughly 40%, It might be easier to download from my FTP site. When it is completely uploaded I’ll send another email.

Hi Vaharmony
Upload complete – go to http://irwell.co.za/adobe/adobe.htm and follow the instructions. Let me know that is works – there is an email link on the page.
Cheers
