PMTrail not installing

Jul 30, 2009 9:16 AM

I have saved the file to my desktop, it runs, but the install never starts until I logoff or restart my computer.

    What computer? and OS?

And why have you chosen the PM Trial instead of the  InDesgin trial?

    I don't think PM works with SP3

I updated from WinXP SP2 to SP3 and PM7 went a bit funny - noticeably with Type1 fonts, but it was already installed. I don't have 100% confidence in it.

But I'd not recommend PM7 - install the InDesign trial which will convert/open PM7 files, usually OK subject to fonts and images being available.

I get an error message when I try to open PM7 "failed to intialize VBox 0002-0073-0066"

AFAIK, VBox is the time limiter on the trial software.

Your best bet is to trial InDesign, anyway.  PM is obsolete.

The real question is why you want to do this anyway.

PM is dead. As John says, it’s time for InDesign.
