Hey guys, Im wondering if any one has been experiencing these issues or if I am alone on this.
Illustrator CS6 has been consistantly freezing on me (pinwheeling) causing me to force quit. I first notice it happening when I left it open and unattended for half and hour or more. I uninstalled and reinstalled after removing prefs etc. It kept happening for various reasons esp when trying to copy and paste items. Now it happens when ever it feels like it.
I am running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4 on an iMac i7.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Suitcase keeps getting fixed then they update it trying to do things they should not do in the first place and it seems they bring the same problems back.
I tried for many versions to workwith Suticase but gave it up after CS 1 and have been happy with Font Agent Pro and there are many user who just use the Apple Font Book manager application that comes with the system.
You may want to consider the steps Wade outlined for me here http://forums.adobe.com/message/4456987#4456987 . It hasn't fixed my problem yet – which is similar to yours – but it may help you.
Illstrator CS6.
I am a long time user of Extensis products including suitecase, but I gave up this time.
SF4 keeps giving me a problem, freeze, Icon jumping crazy when quite.
So I unistalled SF4, and installed FontExplorer instead, seems to be working better.
Still under Demo to see how it works.
SF4 has better interface, but better than freezing.
Same problem, just started less than a week ago but happens basically everytime I use it, as a professional I cannot afford this unfortunately.
Happens to me often when:
Tried this: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-unexpected-beha vior-user-account.html
I have tried this before and if I delete the preferences file before starting the application, everything works fine. The second that I close and reopen, everything freezes again. At least deleting the preferences allows it to work for a while so it is a temporary fix.
Use Font Expoler, it works perfectly. I totally gave up on Suitecase, a piece of crap.
I was a long time users, more than 10 years.
Just get a demo first for free and see how it works.
Never freeze since swithched. And my MacPro is much faster now.
I like Suitcase interface, but I could not stand freezing so many times.
which will damage your system files with so many freezing problem.
Don't wait Adobe's fix, that's some kind of bugs in Suitecase.
