Can Adobe Reader be used to open zip files?

    No.

     

    Reader only opens .pdf files.

     

    You need to decompress the zip file (normally accomplished by double clicking on it) then if there are any .pdf files within, drag them out of the folder onto your hard drive THEN use Reader to open them.
