Hi I have a question about the GPU feature in CS6 not working (windows 64 bit OS). I went to previews in After Effects and Ray-tracing says GPU not available - incompatible device or display driver.
In the same window OpenGL gives the info for my graphics card:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD3670
Total Memory 504.00MB
Shader Model:4.0 or later
I read in the forums to the update the drivers. I went to the amd website and have the most recent drivers for the graphic card. It still doesn't work, so I have a couple questions. Is my graphics card good enough for this feature? Adobe says they support ATI Mobility Radeon. And Is this a driver issue or the graphics card just not being compaitble with After Effects with this feature? Any information would be great thanks!
You can't have GPU acceleration for ray-traced 3D compositions with an ATI card, you're only option is to render with CPUs (quite a bit slower to process). GPU acceleration for ray-tracing is only for specific NVIDIA GPUs.

Sorry, I can't really comment on any features for upcoming versions of After Effects. It may be worth noting that Premiere Pro CS6 now works with GPU acceleration on ATI cards, so you never know. I recommend submitting a feature request: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish
