Illustrator CS6 won't open

May 29, 2012 3:10 PM

I can't launch Illustrator CS6 (just upgraded from 5.5). When I click the icon I get a dialogue box error message over the launch graphic, saying - "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened". When I click OK the program closes. Anyone know what needs resolved here? I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still does this.

Did it work previously?  Do you receive any error messages when trying to install?
