Dreamweaver MX 2004 re-activation fails; can't get Adobe on the phone!

Jul 15, 2009 2:58 PM

Hello all.  I'm replacing a user's Mac with a Windows PC.  (Yes I know - that's just the way is.)  I need to transfer Dreamweaver MX 2004 to the XP machine.  I did Transfer License on the Mac, but when I try to activate on the XP machine, I'm told that I've reached the limit of license installs.  This occurs via Web registration or by the automated phone method.

When I transfer myself to an operator in the automated phone method, they put me into a queue for the Macromedia license activation dept but NOBODY PICKS UP.  I've been on hold three separate times for a total FOUR HOURS and nobody picks up.

Does anyone know of a workaround to this activation issue, or a direct phone line where I can get a human?

Thanks

David

Not sure, but don't you need a different serial for PC vs. Mac? I've only had my MacBook since CS3, so this may not always have been this way, but to me it seems logical.

I am having the same activation problem and wondering if you could possibly send me the phone number you used? The computer crashed and not being repaired so I was unable to deactivate first.

    Thanks, Bob
