Hi Shirley,

LR 4.1 is still in RC 2 (release candidate) mode. Its not released yet.

You will not be able to download the RC version from the program itself untill its officially released.

In order to test and download RC version, please visit : labs.adobe.com

I was just prompted in LR 4.1 RC2 to download the new LR 4.1 but it takes me to the Adobe site where you can download a trial or purchase the software. That is very different from previous updates. I went ahead and downloaded the LR 4 from the sebsite but it shows a creation date of 2/22/2012 so I am very suspect of what is happening. Can you provide any guidance??

Hi All,

LR 4.1 is now live today on Adobe.com and you can update LR 4 from within the LR itself.

If you are online then it will prompt you to update LR 4.1

Baljeet ... could you please tell me if , when I am prompted to update my lightroom 4 to 4.1, will I actually

have to download the whole 765 megabyte program again ? It appears that might have to.

The Lightroom 4.1 download sizes are listed here:

* Win - 729.9MB: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5393

I don't see anything smaller available.
